Axpo Bulgaria was founded in October 2006 as a subsidiary of Axpo Group with the name EGL Bulgaria. In July 2007 the Company received its trading license and since is a regular participant in the Power and Gas markets and trades in the neighboring countries of Bulgaria- Greece, FYROM, Serbia, Romania, and Turkey. As of 2011, upon a decision of Axpo Group, some Back Office and Energy operations activities have been transferred to Axpo Bulgaria, thus widening its competencies. The activities started with Power Scheduling but soon expanded to Gas Scheduling and various Back Office and Front supporting services.
As a result of the excellent performance of the Company`s teams, its responsibilities and significance grew and Axpo Bulgaria became the main Energy operations office of Axpo Trading. Now it has more than 50 people dedicated to a wide range of tasks.
Axpo Bulgaria continues to grow, becoming a key center within the SEE region.
